∙ 12y agoWhen I played it, I talked to every NPC to make sure I didn't miss anything. There's Bulbasaur, who belongs to a dude standing in the middle of a road I think, Charmander, who belongs to someone on a mound, alone, in the grassy wild, and finally there is Squirtle, who belongs to someone in either Cerulean City or Vermillion City.

∙ 12y agoTo get other starter Pokemon you will need to trade using the wi-fi or if you have two DS systems and you have two Pokemon games, just go to new game, get a starter Pokemon you don't have, catch atleast 1 other Pokemon, then trade that starter Pokemon for some rubbish Pokemon in the game you want all started Pokemon in...

∙ 13y agoYou have to trade with another game; Soul Silver, Heart Gold, Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. You can do this in person, over wifi or through the GTS in Goldenrod City.
Or you could send Pokemon into your Heart Gold via Pal Park and any of the Game Boy Advanced games (but only if you have a started in that game already).

∙ 11y agoThrough normal gameplay, you can only get the starter you chose in the beginning of the game. The only way to get the other two starters would be through trade.

After beating the elite four the game will save automatically and if you reset the game or let the credits roll until the end, you will be able to restart your game like that. Save your game if you are finished playing then turn it off when you play it again you can start playing your file from where you left off.

Simply press A on Continue to resume your current game it should be saved at Pallet Town if it is then you have successfully defeated the elite four and now you can go on to completing the side quests of the game.
