12 Years-old is actually way to young to be reading Game of Thrones. If you're reading it for only 20 minutes a day, it could take you a month or 2 to finish reading it depending on your reading speed.

Where do you start reading in the A Game of Thrones books if you have seen the series and you want to know what happens next i want to start of in the books where it ended in the series please help?

Season 1 was based on book 1, season 2 was based on book 2 and season 3 covered the first half of book 3. Many changes were made for the TV adaptations so it might be worth reading the books anyway. 'Ros' was in all three seasons, but never existed in the books, she was an amalgamation of a few different characters. Jaime's hand was cut off by a man called Locke in the show, but by Virgo Hoat in the novels, etc.

Are there any similar TV shows to Game of Thrones which play in a epic medieval-fantasy kind of setting?

I do not know of any shows that are similar to TheLord of the Rings, but if you are wanting more books like LOTR (The Lord of the Rings) try reading the Binding of the Blade series by L. B. Graham. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis is also good Fantasy but The Binding of the Blade series is a lot more like LOTR.
