I have the membership card for the canalave inn but it won't let me in why?

first you talk to the sailors mom. then the kid. then you talkto the sailor and go to the other place that's not iron island. that's where you get cresselia.then go back. give the feather you get from cresselia to the boy. then go to the inn.the door will open a man will tell you to sleep. you wake up in another island. there you will find darkrai.then you have to battle him.after that, go to the man and you will wake up. the sailor will then go to the inn and tell u the house has been empty 4 50 yrs.that's it
