In Lego Harry Potter years 5-7 the diffindo spell will not left me throw objects at the death eaters in the level a veiled threat. how do i beat this level?

If you're playing on PS3, do not cast the spell with the square/left button - use the circle/right button instead and it should work fine..... did for me!
