Paul Dano was born on June 19, 1983, Paul Franklin Dano and he has a younger sister. They were raised in Wilton, CT and at an early age Dano knew he only wanted to act for the rest of his life. He first starred on Broadway in 'The Christmas Carol' and 'A Month In The Country.' He also played guitar for a band named 'Cherry Revision.' In 1997 - 1999 he had a guest spot on WB comedy 'Smart Guy' and then booked his first role in 2000 'The Newcomers'.
2001 he played in L.I.E.2002 he played opposite Kevin Kline and Emile Hirsch in 'The Emperor's Club.' 2004 Dano again played along side Emile Hirsch in 'The Girl Next Door.' 2005 Dano played Catherine Keener's son in 'The Ballad of Jack and Rose.' 2005 he played opposite William Hurt in 'The King. 2006 he played in 'Fast Food Nation.' 2006 he played played opposite Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette in the sensation 'Little Miss Sunshine' earning an Independent Spirit Award Nomination for Best Supporting Male.

2007 he Eli Sunday in 'There Will Be Blood.'

2007 he was the voice of Alexander in Spike Jone's 'Where the Wild Things Are (coming out in 2008.)
