Lenny Kravitz started his career in 1989 inspired by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Prince. In 1992, Lenny released "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over", a song inspired by the Prince's style. In 1995 Lenny released "Rock and Roll is Dead" and Prince answered with another song, called "Rock and Roll is Alive! (And it lives in Minneapolis)". In 2000, Prince recorded a remix of his song "Man 'O' War" in which he says: Like Lenny said 'I want to get away', quoting "Fly Away", a song by Kravitz. In the same year, they performed together the song "American Woman" in the concert "Rave Un2 The Year 2000". Recently, Lenny has been seen soundchecking "When U Were Mine", a song by Prince.
