Then, also unknowingly, Voldemort discovered it however not as its true nature (the resurrection stone) but as a family heirloom with which he would then go on to make a Horcrux. After that, Dumbledore discovered the Stone when he figured out its true nature, both as a resurrection stone and as a Horcrux.
