Is it worth training a Gastly or Haunter to take on Sabrina since it's also a poison type?

Haunter, its most likely higher level and higher attack, but if you have a fire pokemon, I stress that you use it, fire is just strong enough to one hit KO poison 99% of the time

In Silver, Gastly's have not yet picked up the ability to levitate plus Bite (and Dark moves) are now super effective. So basically use Dark Moves and with Gastly line being part Poison you can attack them with Ground Pokemon.
