talk to the sailor in vermillion city, and he will let you aboard the s.s. anne. go through the door, but don't go through the next one. go to your right, and use surf, keep going right and you will see the red truck. use strength up against it and mew is there.

∙ 16y agoMew is not under any truck, but if you want to see the legendary truck that started all of the rumors, you need to surf down from where the SS Anne took off in Vermilion City. You could do this by getting Cut another way then by getting it from the captain (such as trading) or by a complicated cheat which involves saving in a specific area and tricking the game into Surfing on land.

∙ 11y agoNope, that's all just another myth Pokemon fans, like myself, have made up to challenge players to do something that will never work. Strangly enough though, the truck once again appears in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.

It... doesnt really contain mew. It did in red, blue, and green (and maybe yellow) but now it doesn't. The game designers put in the empty truck just to tick you off. Yes, they are mean.
