My caller id on the tv on Time Warner doesnt work.Please help me?

We just had Time Warner installed the yesterday. The install guy told us that it takes a while for that feature to set in after a fresh install. He said that it can take up to two days but ours started working later that night. Time Warner Cable Boxes do not have a place for the phone line. It doesn't need one. Caller ID and Caller ID with call waiting comes standard with a lot of Time Warner's packages. They offer digital phone service. I'm not sure whether or not they Time Warner offers analog phone or not.

Do you have the correct connections from the cable box to the phone line? If so, are you currently paying for caller Id service from the phone company? Last I heard, that feature wasn't a free service in most areas.
