He doesn't specifically betray Percy. He feels that the gods abandoned him, and he thought that Kronos offered a better deal, so he joined forces with Kronos. He tried to kill Percy because he knew that Percy would never join Kronos.
Luke was possed by the titan, Kronos. Luke was drunk with power
and allowed ( or maybe he fought back ) Kronos to take over his body
when Annbeth was near. Luke would be protective of her, luke suicided to protect her and the camp.

yes and no. Luke never went back to the Olympians side, but he did sacrifice himself in the last book. He sacrificed himself in order to defeat Kronos. Since Kronos is possesing him, Kronos sorta dies with him. Not really but sorta. Fortunately and unfortunately luke dies later on in the book.
