They aren't related. Henry the 8th's family were English while the queens family were German. Hope this helps :D There is a line of descent from Henry VII (the first Tudor king and Henry VIII's father) to our present Queen, via Margaret Tudor, Henry VIII's oldest sister, and grandmother of James I.
