Unsure which electric type to use soulsilver mareep magnemite or Jolteon since you just got eevee but thunderstones are kinda hard to find?

If you are interested in Jolteon, you can purchase a Thunderstone from the Pokeathlon Dome on Wednesdays, before you get the National Pokedex. They are either 2500 or 3000 points. If you pay attention to the ratings on your Pokemon and put together a good team, you should be able to easily acquire the points for the Thunderstone.
You will run into Mareep first, so that is the easiest one to acquire. I did not find that I absolutely required an electric type, so if you have your heart set on a specific Pokemon, you probably don't need to worry too much about training it late in the game.
