Derpy is one of the faces in the pary at Twilight Sparkle's house. This is actually how her legacy began, as fans began to notice her crazy eyes and the show's producers began to make it intentional.

∙ 10y agoDerpy Hooves or makes background appearances in most episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic all the way back to the first episode. However, the writers did not deliberately make her cross-eyed until season 1 episode 15 "Feeling Pinkie Keen" where she makes her first non-background appearance. She makes other non-background appearances in season 2 in episodes 3 (Lesson Zero), 4 (Luna Eclipsed), 11 (Hearth's Warming Eve), and 14 (The Last Roundup). S2 E14 was her only speaking role.
