Looking at your team you cover Fire/Flying (if Charizard has a flying move), Electric, Water (Unless you have Ice Moves) and Normal.
As to what goes best depends on what moves you Pokemon cover type wise. I would recommend a Pokemon that can learn Psychic since if this going against the elite 4 for example you have nothing supereffective against Agatha or the Fighting types in Bruno's team. Alakazam would probably do because it's stats.
It depends what you are trying to win my friend. If you are trying to beat the game with these Pokemon, and they are decent levels you have a clear shot at victory.
Here are the 3 best teams 4 Pokemon fire red 1. Venasaur moltres lapras primeape Butterfree Raichu 2. Blastoise Vileplume Pidgeot Raichu (or jolteon) Nidoking articuno 3. charizard vaporeon(or gyrados) Jolteon nidoking kadabra haunter

Its Okay I would switch magnezone for raichu and lapras or vaporeon for floatel I think its cool but get a starter for grass because you have no grass type I would rekomend skeptile because its fast and can use frenzie plant (from dude in house in the sand storm place) p.s. he will teach all starters the best move hope I helped I would switch any better Pokemon that you for the floatzel because well they really bad.

i think a good team always has your Pokemon being of different types. my team is: Charizard Pidgeot Raichu Mr. Mime Vaporeon Articuno My team is pretty much the same but i have different Pokemon, but they are the same type. Charizard fire/flying Alakazam Psychic Articuno Ice/Flying Seadra Water Electrode Electric (I don't have a 6th one)

I use Charizard, Lapras, Dragonite, Dugtrio, Raichu/Electabuzz, and Alakazam/Mewtwo.
Red's Pokemon party includes Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Lapras and Snorlax. For Pikachu using a Ground-type such as Golem or Rhydon would be the best option since Electric attacks cannot hit Ground-types, a Fire-type such as Charmeleon or Blaziken would be the best option for Venusaur, a Water Pokemon such as Starmie or Feraligator would be good options for Charizard, an Electric Pokemon such as Pikachu, Raichu or Jolteon would be good for Blastoise, an Electric Pokemon would also be good for Lapras and a Fighting Pokemon such as Machop, Machoke or even Machamp would be a good option for Snorlax.
It looks pretty good. My best advice for any trainer is to have a variety of Pokemon types, so you will never come across a type-disadvantage, yet you will always seem to have a type-advantage.
Ground type for Pikachu (Dugtrio, Sandsash, onix) Water or Rock Type for Charizard (Vaporeon, Onix ,Golem) Fire Type for Venasaur (Typlosion, Ninetails, Arcanine) Electr. type for Blastoise and Lapras (Raichu, Ampharos) Fighting type for Snorlax (machamp, Ursaring that knows hammer arm) * Also, for Charizard, Blastoise, Lapras, and Venasaur, train a misdreaveus 'till it knows power gem, then evelve to mismagious and teach phycic, thunder, and possibly focus blast for snorlax. till then, good luck
