When the Disney family moved to Marceline, Missouri when Walt was very young, Walt lived his early years carefree. Unfortunately, not much is known of where Walt went to school during this time. Later on, Walt attended Benton Grammar School in Kansas City, Missouri, with his sister, Ruth. After transitioning from elementary/middle school to high school, Walt attended McKinley High School in Chicago, Illinois for a few years. During this time, Walt also took night classes at the Chicago Art Institute (he also attended Kansas City Art Institute during his middle school years as extra). A few years into his high school career, Walt became interested in World War I, even going on to drop out of school to volunteer for service (he was rejected for being too young). After he was rejected, Walt did not attend a college, but went on to create and work on animation and movies -"This question has been researched, and may have some indirect material from another source"-

Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901. His family moved to Marceline, Missouri, in 1906, when he was 4 years old. They moved again, in 1911, to Kansas City, where Disney went to the Benton Grammar School. In 1917, the family moved back to Chicago, where Disney was a freshman at McKinley High School by day, and a student at the Chicago Art Institute by night. When he was 16, however, Disney dropped out of school and never went back to complete his education.

Walt and his younger sister Ruth attended the Benton Grammar School where he met Walter Pfeiffer. The Pfeiffers were theatre aficionados, and introduced Walt to the world of vaudeville and motion pictures. Soon, Walt was spending more time at the Pfeiffers' than at home. During this time he attended Saturday courses as a child at the Kansas City Art Institute. While they were living in Kansas City, Walt and Ruth Disney were also regular visitors of Electric Park, 15 blocks from their home (Disney would later acknowledge the amusement park as a major influence of his design of Disneyland).
