An adults interest in cartoons isn't always an indicator of their maturity level. Now, more than ever, more and more cartoons are geared toward young adults and adults. Their has to be a reason more that just "growing up" to expect someone not to watch a cartoon. If someone was expecting that of me, I'd have to wonder and ask them why my cartoon watching matters so much and I might even advise them to stop taking his/herself and life so seriously.
