Yolanda and marvel
Both Marvel and DC have characters that everyone has heard of. For DC they are Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. For Marvel they are the X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk. In the mainstream I would say Marvel wins out though. They have had more success over all in the area of blockbuster movies. This brings characters to kid's sneakers, billboards, popcorn buckets, etc. The increased marketing helps make certain characters more of a household name. Answer: Relatively speaking the most recognizable names from the USA are Nixon, Bush, and Superman. DC characters are infamously more recognizable, and relatively household names; however, Marvel generally sells more comics, and does better in overall marketing. I would label Marvel as the more popular comics company. I think personally DC is more popular then marvel except for in films but not tv. If you go on IMDB Arrow and Flash are both extremely popular shows. Not just that but the superman radio show and the Adam West Batman show were both popular. Super friends, justice league, batman the animated show. Batman and Superman are wayyyyyy more well known then Captain America and Iron Man. DC wins everyday.
The Incredible Hulk is a character from Marvel comics. The most recent Hulk film came out in 2008, five years after Marvel gained rights to the Hulk.
No, Wade Wilson (Deadpool) is from the Marvel Universe, and Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) is from the DC universe. Wade Wilson (Deadpool) started as a parody of Deathsroke, which is why the two characters have similar names and traits.
The deal for Disney to acquire Marvel has not yet gone through; they are hoping it will be completed by the end of 2009 or early 2010. What Disney may do with the Marvel characters can only be determined at that time, although currently Disney's XD channel (formerly Toon Disney) shows a number of Marvel shows, such as X-Men Evolution and Spiderman. Disney also owns the rights to Batman: The Animated Series, which is a DC Comics property (rival of Marvel). I would assume that Disney theme parks will start to have Marvel rides and characters. Perhaps Hulk Mountain or something.
The names of most Marvel games are from the characters of most Marvel sponsored shows or films like Batman, Cat Woman, Wonder Woman and other characters from Marvel.

Yeah, most of them. There are some characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance that aren't in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, such as Elektra, Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange and Silver Surfer, and vice versa. You get a bigger group of heroes -- and a few villians -- in MUA2.
I'm not a marvel fan and I understood it but it would help knowing alot of the characters and watching some of the films
