Not of itself, it used to be "Greenwood". However after the Necromancer (Sauron) set up his tower there to search for the ring in Anduin many other evil creatures were drawn there and it became a dangerous "evil" place to be.

∙ 12y agoThe Forest of Mirkwood was once a beautiful Forest and had another name but when the shadow of the enemy grew over the forest and the orcs, goblins, and Spiders took control of most of the forest, many of the wood elves were killed and only a small amount remained. Mirkwood is evil because of the evil that grew over it and inside.

∙ 13y agothere are some evil things about it so i would consider it evil because it has huge spiders and enchanted lakes which is where bombur falls into.
