Bilbo was warned by the Elvenking about treasure hunting and the dangers of Smaug.
I take it you mean the great Goblin? well in the film the great goblin was going to take Thorin to Azog the defiler, as they both had unfinished business together. Bilbo had fallen down into the caves below, where he finds the One ring Gandalf rescues the dwarfs and they all have a battle
He warned them about the creatures and things in Mirkwood.
He feels rather guilty about it, and makes sure that the keys are returned so that the guard doesn't get in trouble.
In Tolkien's "The Hobbit," after he had found the cells of the other twelve dwarfs, Bilbo overheard the guards talking about another dwarf, who he guessed must be Thorin. By using the ring, he was able to follow the guards, undetected and find the cells of each dwarf.
He rescued the dwarfs twice. After the dwarfs were captured by giant spiders he threw rocks at the spiders, called them names, and led them away from where the dwarfs were hanging in cocoons waiting to be sucked dry. After the spiders were gone, he put on his magic ring, tippytoed back to the dwarfs and used his sword, Sting, to cut them loose and then led them away, sick and dizzy as they were, to safety. Soon after that they were captured again, this time by the elves. Bilbo hung around the elven stronghold long enough to find out where they all were being held and who had the keys. One night, during a feast, the guard with the keys got drunk and passed out. Bilbo took the keys and let the dwarfs out of their prisons, then took the keys back to save the guard from getting in too much trouble. He packed the dwarfs in barrels and casks from the elf warehouse and they were dumped into the river by workmen to be floated down river to the human town. The barrels were formed into rafts by the elves and floated to the town, where Bilbo unpacked everybody at night while the elves had dinner, and they were safe again.

In the book "The Hobbit" by Tolkien, Bilbo doesn't find the dwarfs, the dwarfs find him! (With the help of the wizard) It is a wonderful book and I strongly recommend reading it!
Bilbo gets lost in the tunnel with Gollum, The dwarfs nearly get eaten by spiders and then they get captured by elves, and Bilbo nearly causes a war by giving the elves the dwarfs most prized possession.
Dwalin is the dwarf most surprised to see Bilbo in Chapter 5 of "The Hobbit." He reacts with disbelief and questions Bilbo about how he reached their location.
Bilbo was warned by the Elvenking about treasure hunting and the dangers of Smaug.
Bilbo brought back a magical ring, several chests of treasure, and most importantly, the Arkenstone, a precious gem that was a symbol of the dwarves' alliance.
One reason why Bilbo is unhappy is because he doesn't like the look of the lonely mountain whereas the dwarves love mountains. The more likely reason is that Bilbo also has a cold. It is referanced in Bilbo's speech in "A Long Expected Party," LOTR FOTR, book one, chapter one.

He left a mark on it he knocked so hard, it was this mark that told the dwarfs which door to go to.
He sings multiple songs and runs away from the spiders, getting them to follow him when he loses them, he heads back to the Dwarfs, kills the spider guarding them, and releases them. they then run away from the area, pursued by spiders
