What did Queen Elizabeth I do to support the Renaissance?

It wasn't until the last half of the exploration that England showed any interest in exploration. Because Spain and Portugal had become so wealthy with their claims in the "New World", England thought it was time to focus on expansionism - getting involved in exploration and conquest. That was one way. Another way was that Queen Elizabeth I sponsored many of the colonies in the "New World"!!! Hope this help!!!! Got it out of my Grade Eight Textbook! lol

Many government officials wanted to keep the theaters closed because many acters would call in sick and skip the play, but Queen Elizabeth I kept them open so many people can understand why she loved theaters and their meanings..........

Oh yes she did...her rule is remembered as the Golden Age of English History. Advancements were made in foreign trade, exploration, literature and the arts. She was a skilled musician as well as a dancer. She was patron of the Arts and Literature and loved plays and dramatic performances. She was well read in the classics and had an extensive knowledge of history. She likes poetry and some of her written works still survive. Her contribution was considerable
