He influenced the Renaissance by his awesome paintings.
Raphael is best known for his Madonnas and for his large figure compositions in the Vatican. His work is admired for its clarity of form and ease of composition and for its visual achievement of the Neoplatonic ideal of human grandeur.
He was a good painter and sculpture. He was well known by the Popes and is most famous from his sculpture of David, paintings of Madonnas(the most famous paintings of her are on some stamps) and he worked on the Sistine Chapel.
Raphael was young, rich, out-going Person, and well as being enormously talented. Him and Leonardo and Michelangelo, is considered one of the three Great Names of the High Renaissance in Italy. His work is characterized by perfect use of color, balance of composition, and sweetness in the subjects of his paintings. His early death brought about what came to be acknowledged as the end of the Italian Renaissance.Pope Julius II Invited Raphael to Rome in 1508 where he was Hired to complete the fresco decoration of a number of rooms in the Vatican. The best known of this is The school of Athens.Considered to be one of the greatest gems of miniature paintings, this Madonna was painted for Alfonso di Diamenti a friend of Raphaels. The Virgin stands in open air reading, while the child touches and looks into the same book Mary is dressed in Marian colors: red tunic and blue mantle with hood over her head. The child's playfulness reflects ease and security in his mother's arms. The pretty landscape in the background suggests the passage from winter to spring. The painting was sold by Count Scipione Connestabile to the Empress of Russia in 1871. In the late 1504s Raphael moved to Florence where he met with Leonardo and greatly affected his style. changing his sense of color, Raphael attempted to match color and light; light and shadow, he created the impression of movement and action. This is what Vasari calls the "dolcezza ne' colori unita," the sweet harmony of colors. Reason 1#.... He was the greatest designer of the Renaissance. Raphael influenced painters up to the 1900's. He made people think of personality when they looked at his paintings. He had a huge impact on the art World and his paintings are bringing in more money then any other painter within History Reason 2#....Raphael put realistic emotions on to paintings. He changed the way people look at art.
Art in the Renaissance was much like the classical period because of its 3 dimensional look. People of the Renaissance liked the style of the classical period(ancient Greece and Rome) and copied their style. They made their art realistic and lifelike. They made people look like they are about to jump off the paper and made their faces with deep emotion. They made their backgrounds very detailed and respected nature.

People thought they were horrible.
It's a matter of taste. Some people love him some people are indifferent toward him. I personally think his paintings are very dynamic.
I'm not sure, but I have a very good original copy. The rare expensive copy is the one where there is an empty unprinted white plate. I think that a few people have mixed up Raphael Morghen with Raphael.

Those who do find his paintings strange.
Art comes in many forms. Paintings, poetry, stage, etc. Most of the time, people usually think of art as paintings, sketches, sculpting, and more.
People have been painting the human form for as long as people have been painting pictures. Think cave paintings. I don't think there is an accurate answer for this question.
Paintings, or cooking I think. What's the real question is that Paris people do alot of things to make money!
Very simple that is what they saw and experienced.
