In the series, they live with their uncle, Count Olaf, another uncle named Uncle Monty, their Aunt Josephine, a dorm in a lumbermill, in a dorm at a prep school, a condo, a carnival, a cave, a submarine, a hotel, and an island.
It was an unknown place? It was the last safe place but it was near briny beach were the orphans meet up at first when found out there uncle died
The Baudelaire's mystery typically starts at the beach where they found out that their parents are dead in a fire. But the true mystery really starts in the fifth book where the Quagmire triplets tell them something about V.F.D.
It is nowhere, it is a fictional mansion for a fictional family that never existed. Its in England and its real
The Baudilaire children ARE real. No one knows where they are. They are still alive probably in their 20's or 30's.Everything is true from the fire to the Medusoid Mycelium. Lemony Snicket: An Unauthorized Biography is barley true. It sounds fiction -that is what Lemony Snicket wants you to think- but look on Wikipedia.com and read their history. Read A Series of Unfortunate Events and learn a few things on wiki.-ViviMiP.S. If you don't believe me, my class did a report on this and found it was ALL TRUE. Well it was stretched a little, but still, mostly true.actually, the "medusoid Mycelium" is in fact NOT a real mushroom- EfIeI know the Baudelaire's are real because I've met 2 of them. Haven't met Klaus.-terralunar123

Mr Poe sends the Baudelaire orphans to a new guardian, a herpetologist called Montgomery Montgomery. When they get there they realize that Olaf has followed them and has disguised himself as "Stephano", Uncle Monty's assistant. At Uncle Monty's house the Baudelaires all get their jobs in the Reptile Room, a room where Monty keeps all his snakes and other reptiles. He has actually found a new specie, that he calls the Incredibly Deadly Viper. It's actually harmless and Sunny befriends with it. Later, Olaf tries to get the Baudelaires to Peru with him so he could steal their fortune there. This fails, and eventually Olaf kills Monty with snake poison and when Mr Poe comes by he blames Ink. The children manage to get Mr Poe to understand that Ink's actually harmless. Olaf flees with his hechman.
