At the time of the alleged affair not many people knew about it. If authors and "sources" are to be trusted, those who knew, were close in the circle the Kennedy's and Monroe ran in - such as Pat Lawford, Frank Sinatra etc. and were kind but stern with Marilyn, telling her to keep quiet and stop contacting the preisdent. It was not until years afterward that the press really picked up the story of the "affair" and since then it has been blown out of proportion. In the reality of the situation, it is thought that JFK and Marilyn Monroe spent one weekend together, although they did meet at other social events. There is no evidence to suggest there affair was lengthy.

∙ 12y agoAbsolutely no proof, and very little evidence. 99% of the latter is suggestions and innuendo. If the two did have a long-term affair, they successfully hid all potential evidence and succeeded in getting all associates to repeatedly lie about the matter -- including those who were very open about JFK's infidelities with other women.
IMHO, the "best" evidence is the law of probability -- based simply on how many women JFK had affairs with, simple statistics support the idea that one of them was Marilyn Monroe.
