to beat darkrai? or to catch? Just have a fighting type that also specializes in speed. Lucario is a great type because dark and psychic isn't strong on steel. Also be aware of darkrai's ability and his sleeping attack. So carry many awakenings (if this is a battle with other people then have it hold a chesto berry to save himself from getting massive damage for one time) and use your best fighting attacks to kill it. It has weak defense so it shouldn't be too hard.
