Diminutive of Astra- star ( or stella, estel, estelle) Little Star. Also a Queen of Belgium who died in a very suspicious auto accident in l935, she was 30 at the time and the Poor Lady required excessive re-construction in the undertaking parlor, contrary to popular opinion, she was not buried in a turtleneck, though she did succumb- to head-neck wounds rather like, decades later, Jayne Mansfield. She had on what was called a Halo Cast in the Bier. Very sad.
