Tarzan is a character in a series of novels written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. He derived from Great Britain as a baby. He was sailing with his family along the coast of Africa. Soon they ship wrecked and made home in the African Jungle. A cabin was made and soon they were castaways. But a leopard came and killed the parents leaving the baby alone. Then along came a female gorilla with no baby. So she saved baby Tarzan from the leopard and came to raise him with the other apes and wildlife.
