They represent different kinds of spell cards. A lightning bolt-shaped symbol means the card is Quickplay, it is spell speed 2 and can be chained to other activations. If it has been Set on the field for a turn, then it can be activated in the opponent's turn too. A plus-shaped symbol means it is an Equip card. These are equipped to one face-up monster on the field and provide an effect, usually an ATK boost. A sideways '8' infinity symbol means the card is Continuous. They remain on the field after the resolve. A star-shaped symbol means it is a Field Spell Card. Only one can be active at a time, if a new one is activated, the old one is destroyed. A flame-shaped symbol is a Ritual Spell card. These allow you to Ritual Summon a monster. Finally one without any of these is a Normal spell card, these go to the graveyard after resolution as normal.
With a Pokeball. It is found in Floccesy Ranch. You must find a wild one. You then use a Pokeball in the battle. Repeatedly press b. Try to do this in a fast yet smooth rhythm. You will be sure to catch it.
This can be very debatable, in the opinion of some, it would be a card called "mom's kindness" a trainer which lets you draw 2 cards, rather stale picture and there are HUNDREDS of cards which allow you to draw more than 2 cards. To others (if you mean the Pokemon themselves), it could be any from Rattata, to Gulpin. Hard to define this answer. Magikarp however is a surprisingly rare card, depending on where it is from and what type of card it is.
1-Catch an Onix in Rock Tunnel or Victory Road. 2-Go to Five Island and Surf to the Memorial Pillar. 3-Get the Pokeball that is on the far right of the island near the bottom. 4-Give the Metal Coat (from the Pokeball) to the Onix. 5-Trade the Onix to a different game. 6-It will evolve once it is with another trainer. 7-You now have a Steelix!
The Nimbasa Gym is right of were the old one was (in black / white), past the Ferris wheel, look for the pokeball symbol on the building

The meaning is 2 chlorine atoms.
A Normal Trap card is any trap that does not have a symbol after Trap Card (an infinity symbol for Continuous Trap, an arrow for Counter Trap).Normal Traps are spell speed 2, and go to the graveyard after they resolve.
ℤ is the symbol for the set of all integers, that is {..., -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, ...}.

On the left of the part of the card that lists the pokemon's weight/height/type (which is usually right below the picture), first edition cards have a symbol that says "Edition 1" with the 1 in a circle. Hope that helps. :)
