What great accomplishment do you need to get into cerulean cave?

Your first priority beat the game.

ok you need to get the sapphire and ruby in bill's machine at on of the sevi islands:NOTE:you must have the national dex to do this(no trading required you just need to find the people who evolved there Pokemon after you have beaten the game)

the ruby is at the mountain where moltres is(was) on the right there will be some team rocket grunts next to a cave go in and get the ruby hm's strength and rock smash will help For the sapphire:its on island six :the door says cut so you need to use the hm cut on it.

once you enter the cave there will be i little test on each floor there will be a slab the says directions in braille (dots) with directions to the right hole entrance(i forgot though because i haven't played that game in years)give the sapphire to the guy on 0ne island and the guy at Celurlean cave should be gone

Short cerulean cave tips:

• bring rock smash,strength and cut just in case

• ghost or dark type Pokemon will be helpful against mewtwo which is in the cave.He will be level 70
• bring strong Pokemon the levels there vary from 50-58
• they say Mewtwo can only be caught with a master ball:false you can use ultra balls but he's hard to catch and uses recover .-.
• bring Pokemon who can induce sleep or paralysis this will help a lot
• make sure to stock up on rations such as potion

• SAVE!!!!!The first try isn't bound to work and you'll need to try again

You have to get the Ruby and the Sapphire. I think you have to go into Mt. Ember, and then once you have the Ruby, give it to Bill and he'll let you go to the other islands, on 4 island you shoud help lorele of the elit 4.TO do so you need the nationaldex. Then you have to go to the very south of one of those islands and come to a door with braille on it, use Cut on it. Then get through there, and you should end up getting the Sapphire but a scientist takes it to the team roket warehouse to sell it. Then give it to Bill and just like that, you can get into Cerulean Cave. Mewtwo'll be at the very end at Lv. 70 and is very close to being impossible to catch without the Master Ball (it's still possible, I actually have a Lv. 100 Mewtwo I got there with an Ultra Ball, but it took hours and hours). Once you defeat the Elite 4, you should be able to enter the cave.
