What happened in Robin Hood adulthood?

Robin Hood is a story that comes from about 1225 and was an oral story told to people. Eventually, it evolved and was written down, characters were added, and the story grew to what it is today. He never existed or is a composite of several people who were highway men.

In my novel The Robin Hood Chronicles I identify Robin Hood with a real Robyn Hod who was a servant of Edward II. My reasoning is that in one of the early ballads a King Edward makes Robin his yeoman. This puts Robin in roughly the second quarter of the 14th century, when Thomas Earl of Lancaster attempted to overthrow Edward II and failed, with the result that Lancaster's supporters were outlawed. After Thomas was beheaded by Edward, Thomas's brother Henry was more successful, defeated Edward, and locked him up in the Tower of London. Edward was forced to abdicate and was succeeded by Edward III, then 15 years of age. Edward was dominated by a Council of Regency for three years, then took control of the government into his own hands. He invaded France twice, asserting his claim to the French throne, but both times ran out of money. In my novel Robin helps Edward III overthrow the Council of Regency and participates in one of the invasions of France. A plague called the Black Death occurred in 1348, and in my novel that is responsible for Robin's death.
