The African plain soon runs out of water, and it's up to Marty and Alex to restore the water-hole. They find themselves in danger, but Alex and his Dad peform in front of the lost New Yorkers. At the end, Gloria and Melvin become an item and Alex and Marty are best friends again, after falling out. They decide to stay in Africa with Alex's Dad.
