The Madagasgar gang head off back to New York, but Skipper and his penguin friends are driving King Julian's plane! They end up crash landing in Africa, where Alex bumps into his parents! Marty joins a herd who are EXACTLY like him, Melvin becomes a witch doctor, and Gloria falls in love with a hippo called Moto Moto. The African plain soon runs out of water, and it's up to Marty and Alex to restore the water-hole. They find themselves in danger, but Alex and his Dad peform in front of the lost New Yorkers. At the end, Gloria and Melvin become an item and Alex and Marty are best friends again, after falling out. They decide to stay in Africa with Alex's Dad.
