What is Thomas Hewitt's Middle name?

Thomas Hewitt was indeed a real person. I have looked in the Texas state profiles, and there is one on Thomas Hewitt. So, is he alive, or is he dead. Does anybody know. I myself think he is still living, because of 2 reasons.

1) There was no d.o.d. in the profile.

2) If he did die, it would be big on the news

Thomas Brown Hewitt AKA "Leatherface" is a fictional character from the movie "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Leatherface is not real. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre didn't happen. It's become an urban myth; It's just a movie. (see links below)

He is not a real person. Director Tobe Hooper (Poltergeist) made him up. Even though they say it is based on a true story, it was only loosely based on the serial killings of Ed Gein (Psycho and Silence of the Lambs were also inspired by Gein). There never was a series of chainsaw killings in Texas and there is no Hewitt family. It's just a believable story made up by Tobe Hooper, that's it.

The phrase "the true story" is very misleading. Though the debate of Tomas Hewitt is ongoing there is no evidence to support it, though some believe there is some film footage and that he killed a film crew in 2007.
