The closest thing in Klingon to a k is q. It is pronounced like a 'k' but more in the back of your throat.

However: Things that in English would use 'kl' often use "tlh" in Klingon. This, the actual word for Klingon (the person, not the language) is tlhIngan. It is pronounced rather like "tl" as one sound (NOT like in the English "bottle").

And thngs that in English would use 'kr' often use Q in Klingon. Q is pronounced like a choking sound in the back of your throat. Thus: "Kronos" is Qo'noS and "Valkris" is valQIS.
