That really depends on what exactly you're auditioning for. If you're auditioning for a musical, you'll want a school appropriate song from a Broadway show from that same time period, and preferably one that is in the range of the character you want.
Usually, I'd recommend something very 60s, but there's a more modern song that I love to hear people audition with. It's very hard to sing well, but it's perfect for a hairspray audition. Ain't No Thing from Bring It On the musical
It is better to go to the audition as yourself and then transition into character as part of your audition. Never dress in costume for an audition.
good
Google it, it's not that hard
No. For example, Johnny Depp was asked to audition before getting the lead in the upcoming musical Sweeney Todd.
If you have more of an alto voice i would most certainly go with Jojo but if you are more saprano go with Christina. also it depends on the type of show you are auditioning for. the worst thing you can do is sing the music of the actual musical you are auditioning for, and if you are auditioning for a program not a musical than go with whatever song showcases your range.

When you audition for a musical, the directors generally have a set idea about how they want a song to sound, so they are less likely to choose you by singing a song from the musical that you are auditioning for. Defying gravity would be a better choice for you to sing than Tomorrow.
Absolutely not! It is great to to audition with a song from that musical specifically because if the director hears how you sing a part in the musical,&you are good, then you have a better chance of getting the part you want, verses singing a different song from a different musical; if the director doesn't know exactly how you sing a given song in that musical, then how is he going to know if you would be good for the part with all the songs?

Any song is appropiate, so long as it shows your range. Opera is not recommended, as are pop songs and country, as they are styles not really suitable to show full range in the musical setting.Jazz songs are good. Big numbers like 'Big Spender' or 'All that Jazz'Equally songs for other musicals like 'Cats'- 'Memory' all that is important is it shows off your best points in singing and its NOT from the musical you are going to be auditioning for.

You audition.
good
Audition for it.
yes it is true ! most of the student don't practice playing their musical instrument even when they want to take audition because they have their own confidence and belief that if they go for the audition then they definitely get the selection for the musical instrument so they don't want to take the audition.
