Lamar Odom is an African American basketball player, who plays for the L.A. Lakers. He was born in N.Y.C. on November 6, 1979. His father was a heroin addict and his mother died when he was 12 years old due to colon cancer. His grandmother raised him. He attended three different Christian high schools, and attended college at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, but later transferred to the University of Rhode Island due to some complications. He has played for the L.A. Clippers, Miami Heat, L.A. Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and is currently playing for the Clippers again. He is married to Khloe Kardashian, and has two children from a previous marriage.
