Bruce Lee used the martial art of Wing Chun. Wing Chun is a concept-based type of Chinese martial arts that specializes in close range combat. Bruce Lee was also the founder of a hybrid fighting system and life philosophy called Jeet Kune Do.

Is kenpo better than jeet kune do?

No; modern day Kenpo has deviated so much from its mother art Shaolin Kung Fu, that it is barely recognizable as a relative of the art. Kenpo does not even look like Kung Fu anymore. I would say that both arts are great for self defense, but do not look pretty, but practical self-defense does not look pretty to begin with. Kenpo has been modified over the years, for example one of the original techniques I had seen uses an arm bar, while the modified technique simply breaks the arm with a hammer fist. Jeet Kune Do is great because it adds a great deal of boxing, and wing chun techniques that are not really used in Kenpo, as well as Jiu Jitsu. The great thing is that both of these arts add and modify techniques, for example, most Jeet Kune Do and Kenpo schools now teach more grappling today compared to 20 years ago. It is important to remember that Dan Inosanto, who is the person to go to for JKD, was a practitioner of Kenpo before training with Bruce Lee, and I believe that Bruce Lee noted that a Kenpo stylist named Steve Muhammed had the fastest hands in Karate that he had ever seen. Lastly, it is important to realize that a martial arts effectiveness also depends on the person, and also that studying both styles would not hurt, especially since JKD, or JKD Concepts anyways, always teaches its students to seek knowledge, absorb what is useful, and discard what is not.

When did Bruce Lee get his black belt?

Bruce Lee never got a black belt or its equivalent. Bruce Lee's core martial arts study came from his training in Wing Chun under Hong Kong kung fu master Yip Man (aka Ip Man). The specific amount of time Bruce spent studying under Yip Man is controversial. What we do know is that he didn't complete the Wing Chun system. He was an avid reader, studying books on fencing, boxing, and philosophy. From this, he formulated his art of Jeet Kune Do with Wing Chun at its core. His art (Jeet Kune Do & Wing Chun) is also looked as a process or philosophy of development that has been used as a basis for exploration into creating new methods of fighting. Bruce Lee has been referred to as the father of the sport of MMA. However, Bruce's philosophy had a distinct bias towards realistic self-defense unlike the modern day sport of MMA.

Are Poor Dreadful and Troll passing grades in the OWL and NEWT exams?

No. The passing grades are Acceptable (A), Exceeds Expectations (E), and Outstanding (O). However, Hogwarts does not use this grading system. Only the OWL and NEWT exams use this grading system, and although the teachers may mark the homework paper of an OWL or NEWT student using this method, it is generally not used in Hogwarts. Also, although an A is a pass, it is generally not a good enough mark for a student to continue a class the next year.Sorry if this is a bit long, I tend to get carried away!

What is the best martial art to do that does not involve many kicks?

Learn to box! Although, you should look into wing chun, watch Ip Man 2, the final scene is him fighting a boxer and he isn't allowed to use kicks. Very amazing style of kung fu, and its what Bruce Lee used before he invented jeet kune do!

What is an AA5 diamond?

AA 5 has several meanings, depending on the context. It is apparently a rating system in Great Britain for lodging. (AA, 5 diamond.) For diamond stones, this rating is sometimes applied to jewelery-grade black diamonds, as a grading system for clarity. This is not a grading scale used by the Gemological Institute of America or the European grading scale. It is a scale used, however, for industrial diamonds, according to the link, below.

Why is there no E on the grading scale?

The grading scale typically doesn't include an "E" grade to avoid confusion with the letter "F," which commonly represents failure in grading systems. Using "E" could lead to misunderstandings or inconsistencies in interpreting grades.

What if you have 28 questions and you got 5 wrong?

If all the questions are weighted the same, then you got 82% correct. In some grading systems, that would be considered a low B or B-. It depends what grading system is being used.
