The first time the Avox girl is inside Katniss' room she is only reading Katniss' bed for the night. She also is given the command to take Katniss' chariot outfit to Cinna. Katniss uses this to tell the girl "sorry"; about that night and about how Gale and Katniss had not helped her. Another time the Avox girl is in Katniss' room is after Katniss' rampage. Katniss had been so angry that she had taken all her plates and smashed them around the room. The Avox girl comes in and is surprised at the mess, but helps Katniss calm down. If he had told her that, it would have changed the whole plot of the story. At least that is what I think.
