1. Hagrid has a pumpkin patch in his garden. Use the Hover Charm (Wingardium Leviosa) to pick up a pumpkin. Then, use your wand to move the pumpkin to the top of Hagrid's Hut, directly on top of the chimney. Then, drop the pumpkin, making it fall into the chimney. The chimney will blow the pumpkin out. 2. Use Accio or Depulso on Hagrid's door, and the door will open slightly, and you will hear Fang, Hagrid's dog, bark. 3. There is a bone somewhere in Hagrid's garden. Use the Hover Charm to pick it up, and then send it through Hagrid's window. Fang will get the bone.
Arogog is Hagrid's pet. It is a giant spider that was blamed for terrorizing Hogwarts School 50 years earlier. In order to save Arogog's life, Hagrid released the spider into the forbidden forest and later found him a mate. Hagrid still visits Arogog and loves him dearly. Arogog is introduced in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and makes a major plot twist in Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.
In the second book, I think, Hagrid gets a pet dragon, Norbert, who is later discovered to be a girl. In the third book, Hagrid's pet Buckbeack, a hippogriff, gets its head chopped off, but is saved using Hermione's time turner. In the sixth book, Hagrid's friend Aragog, a giant spider, dies. Nothing 'interesting' really happens to Hagrid in any of the books until maybe the fifth book, when Harry discovers that Hagrid had been on a journey with Madame Maxime to persuade giants to be on their side in the war against Voldemort. Toward the end of the sixth book, Hagrid's hut gets caught on fire by Death Eaters, but he and his dog, Fang, are alright and the fire gets put out using, "Aguamenti." In the seventh book, Hagrid falls off his motorcycle during a battle with Death Eaters. He survives, and isn't too badly hurt.
Chapter five of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is called Diagon Alley. Rubeus Hagrid takes Harry to the wizarding high street Diagon Alley in order to purchase his school items. They go to Gringotts, where Harry discovers a small fortune left to him by his parents, and watches Hagrid take a mysterious package from another vault. Harry meets Draco Malfoy when being fitted for robes and learns that some wizards think muggle-born witches and wizards should not be allowed to enter Hogwarts. Harry expresses his concern at not knowing anything about the world, but Hagrid reassures him that he will be fine. Harry gets his wand, which shares a core with Voldemort, and Hagrid gifts him an owl for his birthday.
