It Takes Two, a song that starts out (in the play) as Link's solo, but becomes a duet when Tracy joins in.
Edna Turnblad, the mother of Nikki Blonsky,s character.
Link Larkin, a character from the musical "Hairspray," is portrayed as a popular and charming teenager. In the original 1988 film, he was played by actor Michael St. Gerard, while in the 2007 film adaptation, the role was taken on by Zac Efron. Link’s character embodies the themes of acceptance and love that are central to the story.
Yes. In the 2nd and 3rd movie of High School Musical he sings HIMSELF; but the 1st one (HSM) he did not, because his voice was supposed to be "new" to singing, and in the 2nd one he's himself singing with voice training.
Zac didn't write Hairspray...John Waters did. Zac was just cast as Link Larkin in the movie, he had no part in writing it. Actually, John Waters wrote (and directed) the first movie Hairspray. That was adapted for a Broadway play. Then the new movie Hairspray was based on the play. I can't read the small print on the DVD jacket to identify the writers of Hairspray 2007, and I'm too lazy to put it into the player and read the credits.

In the musical "Hairspray," Link Larkin makes Tracy Turnblad cry during the song "It Takes Two" when he shows affection for her but also expresses the societal pressures and expectations that separate them. Tracy is overwhelmed by her feelings for Link and the reality of their different social standings, leading to her emotional reaction. The moment highlights both the challenges of young love and the themes of acceptance and self-worth central to the story.

Well the original Link Larkin was Micheal St. Gerard and that was in 1988. As the show is based on teenagers i would have to say he is round 17/18 years but the recent one with Zach Efron in he would of portrayed Micheal St. Gerard in the film and would be round the same sort of age. I liked both of the films, found them both very same yet very different. I also recommend that people watch the original as well.
