What to do when a friend stops talking to you over something that isn't true?

A horrible situation to be in, it's happened to me. First of all, a true friend would hear your side of it, but sometimes anyone can be manipulated. I would let your side of the story be known, but then move on and hang out with other people. Your friend may eventually realise the true face of whoever lied about you and start rebuilding bridges, but you would be better to let them realise that on your own.
