Like Dragonite, Salamence is a Dragon and Flying type.
It's only weaknessess are:
Ice type moves
Rock type moves
Dragon type moves
Salamence is weak against Ice (4x the damage), Fairy, Rock, and Dragon-type attacks.
A Bagon is a dragon type pokemon. A Bagon evolves into a Shelgon at level 30, and Shelgon evolves into Salamence (a dragon-flying type) at level 50. My Salamence is one of my most powerful Pokemon. If I were you, I would raise that Bagon. :)
You can catch it but you will be forced to release it. Salamence requires a certain ammount of strategy and skill to capture. Try to obtain a Pokemon with a Fighting-type PokeAssist and use it on Salamence. You will also need a full blast of Plusle or Minun's electric PokeAssist if you want a chance of capturing Salamence. As said above, you cannot keep Salamence and you will not be able to capture it after the first time you encounter it in the Jungle Relic. You can capture when it is flying. That is the most easy way to capture it. To make it fly, draw a loop around it once.
A good ice type Pokemon or one with an ice type move will take care of Dragonair, Salamence, and Dragonite, while an electric type will take care of the rest. Have a water-type (with an ice-type move) and a rock/ground-type as backup in case your ice type and/or water type goes down. Having 4 Pokemon with 4x weaknesses is a major crippling factor for that team.
There's a small room that opens up after you beat the elite 4. It will have a TM on the land and a 25% chance to find a bagon. Level it to 50 and it evolves into a salamence.
Salamence is a Dragon and Flying type pokemon.
Elite Four Drake (Dragon-type user) has a Salamence.
Salamence is #373 in the national pokedex, and it is a Dragon-Flying type Pokemon.
Use any decent ice type move and because Salamence is a Dragon/Flying type, it will be 4 times as powerful as normal. Salamence should die but if it doesn't then you're probably screwed.
Salamence is weak against Ice (4x the damage), Fairy, Rock, and Dragon-type attacks.
salamence is weak against ice and dragon type moves. So use it's weakness.
Salamence is not a legendary Pokemon, but it is a powerful dragon-flying type. Along with Dragonite, Salamence is considered a pseudo-legendary by fans based on their high base stats.
Ice and Dragon type moves.
Being a dragon/flying type, like dragonite, Salamence is 4 times weak against Ice type moves. Dragon type moves are also super-effective but only by x2.
Salamence is a Dragon and Flying-type and because of which its weaknesses are Rock, Ice and Dragon prior to Pokemon X and Y however Fairy-types were added as a weakness for Salamence as of X and Y.
