How do you get into Vassar?

Getting into an Ivy League school such as Princeton is very difficult. That is not new information. I myself am a teenager struggling for perfection, and Princeton is my goal. To get into Princeton, academics will not cut it. For myself, I volunteer at a horse farm, do several extracurriculars, found my favorite subject in school, and am part of the National Junior Honor Society. Never, ever let money be an issue because scholarships are available. It may be a cliche, but if you believe it, you can achieve it. I sincerely hope this helps anyone trying to get into an Ivy League college. Another Answer (from another user): As the above poster stated, getting into Princeton (or any Ivy League school) is very difficult. I just recently received my acceptance to Princeton (along with rejections from Yale and Harvard - just to show you how it can be a crap-shoot). This is what I did to get into Princeton: I received all A's in high school (a 4.0, which really isn't absolutely necessary, but at least a 3.8 unweighted GPA [without AP and Honors credit] is what you need to have the highest possible chance). I also got a 2270 on my SAT I, 2340 on 3 SAT II tests (800 on Math II, 800 on Chemistry, and 740 on Physics), and a 35 on my ACT. Despite these stats, being accepted to Princeton is VERY hard. They key is to also BECOME INVOLVED. I am a heavily band-oriented person. I participated in state-wide band competitions and events; I am president of the high school band at my school; I dedicate a large chunk of my life to band. I also participated in some other extracurricular activities (quiz bowl, school clubs, etc). The essays on your application are also very important. 2 of my 3 essays were music related, which revealed my passion. Princeton likes people with unique things, with passions, so that they aren't just the "normal" applicant. You've got to remember that thousands and thousands of applicants had about the same stats as me. What separated me from them was my passion for music. So the key is to be both a good student and someone who participates in one or more significant activities outside of school. That's the key (to get into at least 1 Ivy League school, at least; notice I still got rejected from Harvard and Yale. I was just what Princeton was looking for this year; it changes from year to year, so just pick MANY schools and go with it).

Do you have to have 2.0 GPA to graduate from high school?

The minimum requirements to graduate from high school, is to have at least a 2.5 GPA. If you have any GPA lower than that, you will have to retake the classes to make up for it. How do I know this? I have been a high school teacher for more than 10 years.
