In the first book (the lightning thief) Percy and his mother went to this cabin that the rented in Montauk. the cabin was right on a beach where they could be right next to the ocean, Poseidon's realm. There vacations there were not what you would think, "just a few frozen pizzas and a couple of movie rentals" (Rick Riordan). it was at this place in the book where Percy and his mother are woken in the middle of a terrible storm by the satyr Grover (Percy's protector). Grover informs Percy's mother of the great danger that Percy is in due to the fact that the gods believe that Percy is the lightning thief who stole Zeus's master bolt.from the rental cabin the drive as fast as possible to Camp Half-Blood on long island where all three of them are attacked by a minotaur. Percy's mother is picked up by the minotaur and disappears in a flash of golden light. it is here that Percy fights the minotaur to save himself and Grover. he realises that the Minotaur cannot see well and relies on scent and sound and will only charge in a strait line. he defeats the minotaur but not with his ballpoint pen anaklumos AKA riptide. he looses his sword in the fight and takes on of the Minotaur's horns which and been broken off and stabbed the Minotaur in the thigh as it charged toward him.He wakes up a few days later to realize that he is the son of Poseidon and that his mother had disappeared.OK i have said enough about the first couple chapters of the book, Mr. Riordan probably doesn't like it when i summarise a bunch of chapters of his booksanyway i highly recommend the series to all of you who have not read it

they are both pretty strong but Percy had more experience. i know Jason had fought the titan Krios all by himself. but Percy fought Circe, the Minotaur, Medusa, Daedalus, Kronos and all those monsters. so i personally think Percy would win. :) In addition, Percy is the better one-on-one fighter, while Jason was trained to fight with the legion as a team.
