i think 2003 or 2004.i wish he never did because he is my favorite!!!!!people say that he quit because they weren't paying him enough money,but when he makes a movie he does make a lot of money,but he doesen't make a movie every monday or every Friday,so he makes more money Wrestling than he does movies because he would make more money than movies because he would be making money every monday or Friday because every time he wrestles he makes money and so i don't see why he quit wrestling....in my opinion he still is THE JABRONI BEATIN PIE EATEN HEART STOPPIN ELBOW DROPPIN PEOPLES CHAMP THE ROCK!<3

the rock left Active wrestling (which is full time btw) in 2002 after his summerslam match with brock lesnar for the wwe title

he came back in Feburary 2003 for a match with Hulk Hogan at No Way Out,

a match with stone cold at Wreslemania XIX,

After that he went to his last match as a singles wrestler at Backlash against Goldberg

he said he was "taking a break" but he came back the next year for 1 match against Evolution at Wrestlemania 20 with mick foley
