The Doctor is never in Torchwood, but at the end of 'End of Days' you can hear the TARDIS and then Jack is in 'Utopia' which is the eleventh episode of series three of Doctor Who
She got shot by Captain Jack's brother.
No, Torchwood does not hold open auditions. All roles are cast by their casting director Andy Pryor, who contacts agents he has a professional relationship with, and they recomment suitable clients for auditions. The only way to get an audition for Torchwood or Doctor Who, is to go to drama school, start working, and sign with a good agent.
The HQ of Torchwood has appeared in both Dr.Who and it's own spin-off series, the latter being mainly focused on an adult audience. In the Dr.Who episode 'Doomsday', aired on BBC1 in 2006 and featuring Billie Piper as her final role as The Doctor's main companion, it was set in Canary Wharf in London's Dockland's Development, with Tracey-Ann Obermann starring as Torchwood Director Yvonne Hartmann. The Torchwood HQ was destroyed during The Doctor's battle with The Daleks, but it also meant that it projected Rose Tyler into a parallel Earth in which she regained her natural father but lost virtually all contact with The Doctor. However, in the main spin-off series 'Torchwood', it is set in Cardiff Bay in the capital of Wales. Starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Burn Gorman, the HQ was in a secret underground base in Cardiff Bay whose entrance was disguised as an old concrete municipal building that was long disused. In the five-part episode 'The Children Of Earth', aired in July 2009, this was destroyed by a secret bomb planted by English Government agents who disagreed with Torchwwod's approach to dealing with the alien invasion. The base was never restored. A new series, 'Miracle Day' was created in 2011 with the same cast, but set not only in Wales but in the USA as well. Torchwood fans disliked it's removal from it's Welsh setting and the supplanting of the series to the United States, which meant that viewing ratings plummeted. As a result, there is little chance of the series being revived in the foreseeable future.
Andy Davidson - Torchwood - was created in 2006.
In the prison cell.
No, as of 2012 he has never currently been on Torchwood. However characters from Torchwood (mostly Captain Jack Harkness) have appeared in Doctor Who.
From the Torchwood team's perspective, Jack was gone about a year, I think.
No. To date the Doctor has never made an appearance on Torchwood; although there have been several references to him both direct and indirect. The Doctors hand can be seen throughout series 1 and the TARDIS noise is heard in the series 1 finale followed by Jack's disappearance and is a direct tie-in to the 3 part Doctor Who series 3 finale. The Doctor is also mentioned by name several times in Torchwood despite him never actually appearing.
Torchwood is a spin off of Doctor who and stars John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. It's based in Cardiff, and the time rift that goes through it. The Doctor is not on Torchwood but Jack is on Doctor Who.
