The popular comic strip by Charles Schultz ( originally a Washington ghost writer who got into Cartoons almost as a lark) WAS a syndicated newspaper feature and NOT initially intended for TV. inevitably- TV specials arose in the sixties ( It"s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! They had rather flat narration-rare in Tv cartoons- and toned down but constant-running background music- again rare. Somehow never quite cut the mustard- or popcorn butter. They were always shown in lengthy say- hour long batches- again rare fpr what was originally a newspaper comic strip. and so it goes.
