The starter Pokemon in Pokemon Black and White are:
1) Snivy
2) Tepig
3) Oshawott
I would recommend Snivy because it's fast, it's awesome and it's final evolution (Serperior) is just sick.
Don't get Tepig, because it is a rip-off gens III and IV, both of them having starter Pokemon that get Fire-Fighting. And having a double type means you have more weaknesses.
I would recommend Oshawott if you like Water type Pokemon.
But it's your choice. Your game.
