How do you fix my recliner?

My problem with my recliner is the back cushion has come undone and needs to be attached to something. There is a metal spring in the back and the cushion was attached to a cloth piece that has ripped and can not be saved. We have tried fishing string to sew it, but it snaps when someone sits in it and reclines. Please help!!

What is better Lane or Lazy boy recliner?

lazy boy trust me!!!!!As someone who sells/has sold LA-Z-BOY and Lane recliners for years, I will tell you the likelihood of needing warranty service or repair on either manufacturer is quite comparable. Particular chair styles/model #s dictate whether you are more likely to have service issues/problems. That being said, Lane typically does a much better job taking care of the consumer and any problems, and for that reason I recommend Lane. The LA-Z-BOY recliners sold today are definitely not the virtually indestructible, high quality chairs they manufactured 5 to 10 years ago. I hate to tell you Mr. La-Z-Boy salesperson but the older La-Z-Boy recliners are far from "indestructable" as you state. Many, many disappointed owners are finding out their wooden frames were only GLUED together and that glue is now drying out and the chairs are literally falling apart because they couldn't bother to use screws, nails or staples as is the common practice when joining two pieces of wood together to back up the glue. Their "Comfort Care" Company is a total rip-off charging $80/hour to replace the frame which takes 5 to 6 hours and using the same garbage that they constructed the chair with in the first place. Their claimed "Lifetime Warranty" is nothing but a money maker and a marketing tool.
