Where can you meet characters for free at Walt Disney Worlds MGM Studios or Animal Kingdom?

There are fewer characters at Epcot than in the Magic Kingdom, and they have um. . . more unique costumes. Mickey is dressed as Ben Franklin at the American Adventure. Goofy roams around in a shiny silver cape. Actually, the best opportunity to meet a bunch of characters at once is at Epcot. Eight or ten times per day, a London-style red double-decker bus is loaded up with Characters at the Magic Kingdom and makes the trip to Epcot

Disney characters can be found at just about any Epcot section, at any time of the day. There is a set schedule each day, but it can change. Sometimes the most fun is just seeing a character at a place you didn't expect to do so.

The MAIN Disney characters will, for a small fee, stand with a family and sign Autographs at "Character Spot."
