The Earthbound Immortal series' names were based off of Native American culture, the Incans in particular. For example, Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu's name was based off of the words "Capac" and "Apu" meaning "ruler" and "mountain deity" respectively. Each Earthbound Immortal is also based on a design made by ancient Native Americans and their anime Nazca Lines are suprisingly very consistent with the real-world Nazca Lines. The "Related Link" below is to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia showing the anime Nazca Lines and comparing them to the real Nazca Lines.
The Earthbound Immortals were based off of the Incan language, Quechua.
Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu's name was based off of the words "capac" and "apu" meaning "ruler" and "mountain deity" respectively. Its name together possibly means "The Ruler of the Mountains".
Earthbound Immortal Aslla piscu's name was based off the word "pisco" and Pisco City. "Pisco" itself meant "little bird" and Pisco City is where the real-life Nazca Lines are located.
Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca's name was based off the Incan deity, Virachocha. He was known as the sun god, similar to Ra, and as the creator of the Incan culture and civilization. The name itself literally means "sea foam".
Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua's name was based off the word "qaraywa", meaning "lizard" as it represents the lizard from the Nazca Lines.

Yes. It will have to do with Yliaster and the 5DS Grand Prix.
First you need to beat the game. Then you can either talk to Crow who's south of the satellite then he will tell you about a shadow where you dueled kalin. Beat that shadow in a turbo duel then talk to crow again to unlock a pack containing a few earthbound immortals. Also after you beat that shadow you can then go to where you dueled Roman. There's another shadow there to beat for another earthbound immortal pack, but you will need to talk to crow after you beat them. Also you can talk to the MC in the fortune cup and he will tell you about another shadow in the duel stadium. Beat that then talk to the MC again to unlock the pack for some earthbound immortals.
While the answer would be 'yes' if we were talking about Legendary Fisherman + Umi, or Guardian Kay'est, it has been ruled differently for the Earthbound Immortals. You may not declare a direct attack in this case, even if the player's only monster is an Earthbound Immortal.
